Ah yes, that port naming conflict could definitely explain it - when the device is in bootloader mode, it usually gets assigned a different COM# number. When it’s in regular mode, it enumerates Midihub as COM3, but probably when trying to access it through this name, the BT device is accessed instead, timing out, as there’s probably nothing on the other end. I have no idea why the port name conflict with BT occurred in the first place though.
Looks like it’s possible to reassign the name in the ‘Advanced’ menu in Port Settings tab:
