Hi
I just install the editor and upon connecting and trying to update the firmware of my new Midihub
I got a message:
The connection to the midi hub timed out!
I’m using direct to laptop windows 10 pro with the supplied usb cable.
It happened while the Editor was starting to do a firmware update but crashed into “Midi time out” and since then I cant get it to connect
What should I do?
Please help
I’m attaching a screenshot.
This should be fixed in 1.15.3 released moments ago, you can download it here: [Download] Midihub Editor 1.15.3 & Firmware 1.15.0.
Let us know how it goes.
I downloaded it but same problem … btw, only after i turned off the midihub the
Sync Timeout error popup appeared. Before it was blank but crossed on the plug symbol.
Attaching screenshot.
Ok, this is better - your Midihub is now in bootloader mode, with no firmware currently installed, in this situation, you have to manually provide it a .bfw file from the release topic.
Using the menu bar, do Device → Flash Firmware… and pick the downloaded .bfw file.
OK
Looks like it did it but erased all programs…
How do I download those back?
what to do next exactly?
Do Device → Import Everything…
Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Blokas\Midihub Editor
into the “File name” field, hit Enter.
This will take you to the location where Midihub’s backups are stored prior to firmware upgrades, pick the latest one.
