No Midi passing through upon set up

Greetings all;
Has anyone else had the experience of MH intermittently not allowing Midi signals to pass through when something gets changed in the set up like the audio converter being restarted, or setting up for a gig in a remote location ? Power cycling the MH enables the MiDI to pass through once again. The MH set up has not been changed through all this. It has been going on intermittently for the last month or so. ugh!
Thanks,
Peter.

This hasn’t been reported before, we are unaware of such an issue.

How do you know it does not allow MIDI signals to pass through? Do the activity LEDs indicate any incoming & outgoing activity? Does Midihub respond to the button clicks in this state? What are the hardware devices involved when this happens?

Some ideas what could be the trigger - some devices on power up or power off could unintendedly produce noise on their MIDI outputs that could seem like legit MIDI messages, in case the power cycled hardware does not take care of that itself, but at the same time might impact your setup, like if it’s a Program Change message that switches the preset on Midihub, or some mapped CC that would change the behavior of what you curently expect.

Another idea - if the power source that Midihub is on is too loaded down and does not provide sufficient voltage it might impact Midihub’s behavior.

Whenever you see this happen, please try and collect all the possible information - what was the last action you did before you noticed the issue, also whether Midihub Editor can connect to Midihub in this state. Does the Midihub Editor log anything in its MIDI Monitor on inputs and outputs?

Does switching the preset to another one and back using the button help?
