Hi there. Here’s the thing. My workflow is highly dependent on presets and I wonder does Midihub offer standard 0-127 PC-message preset slots controlled by external midi controller, putting aside those 8 controlled by the button?
I mean, I’d like to make a patch for a preset that all my devices share and use it in set it and forget it mode later on.
You may set up a port on which Midihub listens for PC messages and switches presets via Device → Settings menu. Still, it allows access for the same 8 presets using PC0 - PC7 messages.
do the presets require that much internal memory? let’s say you have (just) ten compositions you play live. obviously, you don’t adjust all the settings for all the devices manually. you just send PC1, play the first track, you send PC2 – you play the next one. and some lives may require more than 1 preset per performance, easily.
just wonder if it’s possible at all, pretty please?
while I would still appreciate the whole range of presets available via PC changes (like all 127 if the internal memory can handle it), just as a workaround I also would appreciate any sort of extended mapping, so player could assign any PC message to any 8 we have now. this way we could still broadcast, let’s say, PC 55 and get an assigned preset (let’s say the 5th).
at least doubling them to 18 would be sufficient for most usecases.
by the way, they could still be available from the front panel if you make a chosen preset’s LED to be turned off while the others are lit (inversed indication).
