Live master - Octatrack & digitone slave

I cannot get the octrack to work normal when synched through live as master through midi hub. I copied a sync patch that [Giedrius] posted

Ableton midi clock master to all ins A,B,C,D

I’m a Mac user, Cosmin, so I’m going here on what I’ve read. So assuming… …tr8s/beatstep etc connected to PC via USB, and you’re not using Ableton to connect directly with these device to send Clock & Transport… …have you got MIDI-OX installed? Here’s Blokas’ Giedrius on that utility Once you’ve got that set up, Try a preset like this [Screen Shot 2023-10-15 at 13.51.04] DAW_Clock>Sequencers.mhp …just to test starting and stopping your Beatstep etc. Then we can start building!

which got finally all my elektron devices to sync, digitone/Octa.

When i tried to send any midi clips to my actual octatrack from USB a or b or c or d, It would start the octatrack recording loops and then clipping itself.
It didn’t matter what USB output I used, all ports connected to a usb would be fed the signal.

If i hook the octa up to my focusrite soundcard 5 din, I have no issues, but then I cannot interact with anything on the hub. I’m literally so lost. I haven’t gotten any music done in days. It seems I have zero ability to get this work.

What is the DAW you are using? If you want Midihub to sync external devices, you should make sure you’re not sending sync data via USB directly to those devices. Also, setting which MIDI source the device listens to may be necessary in Octatrack’s & Digitone’s MIDI settings.
