Inversion control like Korg Minilogue

I just got my midihub last week and still learning what it can do.

Using the current pipes is it possible to take incoming chord notes and move the lowest note to the top changing the inversion? If mapped to a controller the further you turn this control you would cycle through all different inversions of the played chord.

Im thinking something similar to the korg minilogue chord mode allows you to do this. I find this to be a fun performance control and can transform simple chord sequences in a musical and fun way.

Hey, good idea! There were suggestions for a filter pipe that’d filter out the lowest or highest note, and allow only its modification would allow implement something like this. It’s in our todo.

We’ll keep track of this idea and we might implement a dedicated pipe for this too.

If a dedicated pipe was used I’m thinking that an octave control would be good to limit the range uselful for voice leading. Notes out of range would be held to the nearest valid octave if that makes sense.

I just ordered the midiboy so will see if i can get that to do what im after and share it.

Having on midihub would allow for more flexibility.

Cheers
