Filter necessary to avoid loop?

Hi guys, new to the forum :slight_smile:
Yet to recieve the hub, but already playing with the editor to prepare my setup.

Question:
When I am sending to and from the same two devices, do I need to implement a filter to avoid creating a midi feedback loop?

Here’s my use-case:
I want to send clock, transport and program changes from Syntakt to Torso T1 and notes from the T1 to the ST for sequencing.
Will I be fine, or do I have to take measures to avoid creating a loop?

(My guess is that it should be enough to tell either machine to send/recieve only the wanted data in their own settings menus. Just want to confirm so I do not have to troubleshoot later.)

Can’t go wrong with placing the filters to pass through only messages that you want to have, it’s a good practice.
