Digitone and digitakt midi feedback

Hi, new to this. I think i am correct in thinking that when controlling an external synth via the midi tracks in the digitakt and digitone, by means of a midi controller, the midi feedback does not pass from the external controller to the digitone/digitakt …resulting in a parameter jump when adjusted in the digi boxes. Can the blokas midi hub help with this? If so is it very complicated to set up? Thanks.

Hey there,

It’s sounds like when you are sending midi instead of note played ~ you get parameter change, in this matter you should check the midi modes of the digitone/digitakt and read the manual appendix part to see what you are changing.

After you get the idea of parameter jump cause, you might be able to disable this feature by closing cc values or changing the midi mode of digitone/digitak (speaking behalf of octatrack mk2 user)

If these are not block parameter jump and send desired message, midihub could solve your problem, to be honest I did not grasp your full question however I know parameter jump eureka moment when you send midi message to elektron device suddenly parameters changing/ patterns changing etc.

That’s why I wanted to mention you can close these via digitone/digitakt settings because they exist on octatrack mk2/rytm mk2

Does Digitakt and Digitone send any CCs out through MIDI when these are changed?

Could you share an example of a single control and what kind of message you use to change it externally and if the Elektron device sends anything on controlling the same parameter?
