Connect Ableton Live to Midihub

Hi. This is basic but I can’t figure it out.
I have a midi instrument (Fishman Trippleplay Express) running into Abelton Live. It plays fine. Midihub is also runing/connected to my laptop, and it works fine for other interface to synth conenctions.
I want to send the midi signal from Ableton to Midihub to play my external synths, but I can’t get it to map.

In Live I have Midihub (Port 1,2,3,4) turned on for output. I’ve also tried each of these ports as the midi output for the track.

In Midihub I have tried the following:
From Virt (A,B,C,D) to Midi A (synth that works with other mapped controller)
From USB (A,B,C,D) to Midi A

Where am I going wrong?
To be clear, the midi controller (Tripple Play) can not be plugged directly into Midihub and needs to go through a DAW.

Thanks!

Jason

Please post a screenshot of how your Ableton vertical view looks like currently, make sure the I/O section is visible in the mixer.

On Midihub Editor’s side, the [FROM USB A] pipe receives the USB MIDI data that Ableton should send to Midihub’s first port. Then you can set up the pipes on the right to do the processing and send to another output like TO MIDI A.

In Ableton, you also have to arm the appropriate input tracks for recording, or enable “Monitor In” to make it always pipe through the events between devices.
