Hello Paul, yes, we’ll get this done. In the meantime, if the community forum is not in dark mode already, here’s how to switch:

The user request for a dark mode has been going on for three years now. Please remember not only to implement the dark mode, but also to increase the contrast of the icons and please don’t forget the mapped icon. As a user with visual impairment, it is really painful to use the editor. Light green on light yellow or dark grey on light grey might look very cool but for low vision users these things are absolutely invisible.
