Hi, I’m very new to the midihub and am struggling to get my head around the editor. I have a Behringer FCB1010 and I’d like to be able to play chords on a synthesiser using one foot switch at a time, so I can also play bass guitar. I can get it to play a selection of notes based on which note I send to it but not different chords for each pedal, ie switch 1, C major, switch 2, G minor.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pete
Hey, @solidsnayke, welcome to Midihub!
Try playing around with something like this:
The basic idea here is to create parallel pipelines so that you can direct notes to the Harmonizer pipe with the appropriate chord settings
PS. In my example, I’m assuming that the incoming note is the root note of the chord

Hi Resonotter, what settings do you have for the other pipes? I can get it to play a chord from one pedal note but each of the pedals play a chord also so if I have sw1 set to C, it’ll play a c chord but if I play the next pedal which I’ve set to G it plays the same harmonizer but with the G as the root which doesn’t allow for nuance chord wise. Also, a bunch of pipelines all play chords at once. How do I make it so they don’t play unless I press the pedal I wish?
Regards
The Range Filters in the preset above are set up to pass through only a single note, so the note reaches the output pipe only on one line.
To save on pipes, if you have multiple notes producing a major chord for example, you could make the same Range Filter pipe pass through more note numbers through the same pipeline.
If you still can’t get it to work like that, please upload your preset here.

Hey, @solidsnayke, note that Note Range Filter has two options for Drop in range:
- by default it blocks the Notes in the range(s) specified
- but, if you uncheck the box, it will allow only those notes through
By doing this you can make each pipeline process different ranges of notes.
So, if we adapt the original hint to @Giedrius’ suggestion…
…this Note Range Filter allows C,D & F through to the Major chord Harmonizer.
As a PS
recall I said
I’m assuming that the incoming note is the root note
This becomes important if, say, you want a CMaj and a C6 chord triggered by the FCB.
Obviously you can’t use C4 as the trigger for both, but this is where the Play Root Note? option in Harmonizer comes in:
you just use another (unallocated) trigger note, set the C6 chord relative to that, and uncheck Play Root Note?
So after getting your preset on the right track, it might be worth really planning out your trigger notes to optimise the Harmonizer lines
