I’m mapping pads from an Akai Force Drum Track to MIDI splitting the pads into 4 sections. Each section goes to a different synth. Each of the Force pad’s note-out is chromatic but I want to have them in scale. Using the SC Remap results in multiple pads mapping to a single note. I’m looking to map 1 pad to 1 note. I’m trying to use note-remap for each pad so that I can specify scale and I have run out of pipelines. Is there a way to get 64 pipelines with note-remaps or is there a better way of trying to get 1 pad to 1 note in scale?
You could try combining Note Range filters and Scale Remap pipes together, make Note Range Filter to pass through 8 subsequent note values, set up a custom scale remap mapping, so that the first 8 chromatic notes map out to the required scale degrees, leave the rest of 4 degree mappings unused, as they should never end up getting triggered.
You may have to set the ‘Base’ of Scale Remap correctly or use Transpose to end up getting the expected notes.
This way you could map up to 8 pads to a scale in a single horizontal pipeline.
