Occasionally I have to stop the Digitone 2 because it doesn’t play nicely with the Minitaur (midi notes get doubled sometimes and a stop start of the Digitone fixes it)
But when I start the Digitone again it doesn’t start on beat. If I time it perfectly I can do it manually but when I miss the beat it sounds pretty horrible.
Is midihub able to add something to the pipe that would only allow the Digitone to start on beat?
Do you have any insights on how it has to be timed to make it match? At what points in the bar do you have to trigger the stop and start to make it line up well?
I’d like for it to start like it would if I switched a pattern, 16 steps.
I have to stop it, press stop a few times actually to cancel everything. Sometimes I have to shut it down completely to get it back working with the Minotaur which I also have to shut down after a few hours when it gets too warm and starts behaving oddly. I’m guessing midi notes are getting stuck somewhere.
So long story short, once it’s powered back on I’d like it be able to press start and the Digitone wouldn’t start until the beginning of the next measure.
If I have to I’ll buy another Nome II to do the trick for me. I thought about trying something with the Minotaur midi note cancel cc, but it’s cc is 123 and for some reason the Digitone only goes up to 119
Just wondering, @Caleb_Cromb:
What’s Digitone keeping time with?
Is another device acting as master clock?
Nome II is my master clock.
