thanks for the Befaco mention; the oscilloscope shots from the site are useful in envisaging the basics of a pipe design:
(though many questions come to mind!)

Just to clarify
As my ‘About me’ line hints…
…I’m “Not Blokas, you know!”
FYI, Blokas is Giedrius & Pranciskus, the former more likely to contribute to Midihub discussions.
You’ll note he was saying in post 2 this was possible nigh 5 years ago.
So that’s makes it definitely technically possible.
I was asking for more detail in case G wanted to turn his attention back to ideas like this!
Rolling your own
So when I say …
“(Also not at all easy to emulate with current capabilities, IMO)”
…I’m not referring to a future native pipe, only to the processes one has to include to make a reliable generalised version with existing pipes.
I say this as a result of experience gained when creating an ADSR emulation…
This is more complex than a slew but even an AR curve has some subtleties (see this discussion)
In short, @vorsakn, if you want to make your own version and you know the sort of rise-fall times you’ll be limited to, Yep that’s all do-able. Lemme know if my work on the AR curve experiments might be useful.
