Hey all,
I’m trying to use my Xone K2 fader to control the Modhweel on my Digitakt 2 via MIDI CC. All Digitakt tracks are set to MIDI Channel 14 (so I can effect all tracks at the same time). The K2 Fader I am trying to set up is sending on Channel 14, CC 16.
I’m using the MIDI remapping tool to convert:
- Incoming: (both Low and High) Ch.14 CC 16 →
- Outgoing: (both Low and High) Ch.14 CC 1
The problem is only when the fader is at a specific value do I see any outgoing message - 16 16.
SO my incoming outgoing message trace is like so:
Incoming: Ch. 14 CC 16 17
Outgoing: No message
Incoming: Ch.14 CC 16 16
Outgoing: Ch.14 CC 1 16
Incoming: Ch.14 CC 16 15
Outgoing: No message
This happens even when the fader should be sending values from 0–127. It seems like the remap only responds to the exact fader value of 16 of CC 16.
So yeah the remapping just doesn’t appear to be working for my usecase… Is there a trick to mapping dynamic CC values rather than just fixed ones?
