Hi-Z input for Guitar/Bass

Hello!
Is there any HW mod available to set the input as Hi-Z for connecting Guitar/Bass directly? Like the most audio interfaces have a Hi-Z switch for the inputs.

The input impedance of the Pisound is 100kOhm according to the documentation. For an electric guitar or bass, the input impedance should be at least 1MOhm to preserve the signal quality. I see people are complaining about clipping in the forum and so far is the only solution using a buffer circuit / pedal.

Any buffered (non-true bypass) pedal will do, even when switched off. I prefer to use a Behringer UMC202HD interface for this purpose, but only as a preamp: direct monitoring on, usb only as power source, vocal mic on one channel, electric guitar on the other, and line level signal from the output of the interface.

yes, that is what I would like to avoid to be forced to chain devices.

My question is, if there is a simple HW mod that would allow changing the input impedance from 100kOhm to 1 or more MOhm. Like Hi-Z switch on a soundcard.

At the input of and opamp there is usually a resistor that could maybe be changed to a different value.
