Clackling/Distortion ion Pisound output

I am getting crackling on the output of my pisound card

If I play some sounds from (say) Pure Data it generally starts out OK but after a second or two I start to get distortion in the audio.

At first I did not notice it but it has started to really irritate me and it makes the card impossible to use in any live setting

It happens at low volumes as well as high volumes

Try using a different power supply - if it’s not providing enough power or itself is noisy, the audio input and output can be affected.

I am using a Raspberry PI power supply

But I have had problems with my mouse freezing

I cannot see how but may be related.
