For me it´s not possible to manual connect Pure Data in Patchage.
I am running Patchbox on a RPi Zero non realtime kernel, jack disabled.
In aconnectgui everything seems to be ok

It might be a bug in Patchage, you could try looking for a newer version, even if it requires building from source code, and try again, and if still occurs, you could report the issue here: GitHub - drobilla/patchage: A modular patch bay for Jack/ALSA based audio/MIDI systems
