Alsa midi : pisound/patchbox

hi,

Im sending a lot of midi messages from an expressive controller,
it appears that alsa is not able to keep up , whilst im able to publish messages at the rate I need, the (local) alsa client is not getting them all.

any thoughts? is there some kind of alsa daemon that needs it priority increased?

just looking for any pointers of where to look :slight_smile:

Does dmesg log report any drops? What’s the rate of data? Is this software to software MIDI connection?

I’ve now determined it’s the rtp daemon as aseqdump is not having issues reading the queue :slight_smile:

Hopefully this can be resolved it’s with the developer now :slight_smile:
