Finally got around to actually testing this, so just want to report that after the Pisound upgrade DIN MIDI works fine. In general the system seems to behave better too, so I don’t know if the original code also generated excessive interrupts or something like that. Before the upgrade, now and then the system would act as though the CPU load went through the roof for a fraction of a second, but now it seems fine.
