I recently got a Domoshop Slim MIDI HAT for my Raspberry Pi 3B and am struggling to get it to work. I’ve installed ttymidi and the device seems to be recognized (shown as client 129 ‘MIDI’ below).
The HAT is connected to my desktop computer’s MIDI interface with MIDI Monitor on, and cannot get any output, either with a .mid file (aplaymidi -p 129:1 x.mid) or if I try with Pure Data. Patchage shows the connection as existing, and it updates in real time if I make the connections in Terminal with:
aconnect 'Pure Data:1' MIDI:1
aconnect MIDI:0 'Pure Data:0'
I’ve got /boot/firmware/config.txt and /boot/firmware/cmdline.txt both edited as recommended.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling ttymidi, yet nothing is happening. (Since I’m on arm64 I installed the Bullseye package)
The stupidest part is I briefly was able to receive signal on the Pi when I first set it up. I’m not sure what I did then or what made it stop working (it literally just stopped as I was simply sending CCs from my desktop computer.)
