Patchbox routing not saving

I am able to use modep but every time it boots it’s outputting only in the left ear. It’s simple enough to fix by dragging from capture 1 to output 2 to get stereo. But this setting does not save between reboots. Is there something I can do to set the configuration to boot in stereo?

Did you save the pedalboard after this change?

Try looking at the MOD services logs for any errors:

journalctl -u modep-mod-ui
journalctl -u modep-mod-host

Hit the ‘end’ key to go to the latest log lines (keep in mind the output is delayed by a little bit from what is actually currently going on). Hit the ‘q’ key to quit.

I think I mispoke, it’s in Patchage app that I drag the correct connections. there is no option in patchage to save my configuration, so everytime I have to use vnc to see and reconnect the virtual connection in Patchage. Does anyone know how to make the changes persist inbetween boot-ups?

Why not do it in the MODEP interface instead? Or are you using some other software?

By convention, this is usually software side responsibility to make the Jack connections, or of launcher scripts that start all the software and then make the connections between the components. There might be some connection manager daemon out there like amidiminder for MIDI, but for Jack.
