Anyone have any luck using game controllers (like a Rockband or Rocksmith drum set for instance) as midi controllers/instruments with MODEP? I don’t have one but am curious as to wether something like this would work.
Some of the Rockband peripherals had MIDI out. I’ve tried the Keytar and it works fine. I have one of the guitar controllers with MIDI out but haven’t tried it yet. Same with the ion rocker drum kit. For the ones that were just controllers you’d have to map the controls. I haven’t gone that far into modep yet to know how to do that. The only ones I have floating around are wireless not USB so that adds another layer of complexity as well.
