Super weird question:

Is it possible using the Transform pipe to convert midi note and velocity to CC #7 volume values?

Is it possible to do this on each independent channel?

So:

  • note/velocity on channel 1 would convert to volume on channel 1
  • note/velocity on channel 2 would convert to volume on channel 2

I just purchased three unusual Kenton midi monitor boxes called LD2. They’re just little black boxes with a midi input, 3 digit numerical display, and a segment level meter. They will display any CC data numerically and visually…but I’d like to convert note and velocity to CC volume so it’ll be more useful and cool.

Hey, yes, Transform pipe keeps the channel intact when transforming the message.

To convert note velocity to CC #7 use this config:
