Program Change and Revoicing

Hello,

is it possible to send program change and revoicing by midihub ?
if yes, how can i do this (example) ?

Program Change is possible; the Transform pipe lets you create a PC from any incoming message.
What are you planning to send in to trigger it/them?

Not sure what you mean by “revoicing”: mapping notes? switching channel?

Lemme know & I’ll post up an example :grinning:

Hello resonotter, thanks for answer.
I´m building an organ with one masterkeyboard. and two keyboards, which can send only on Channel 1.
I use the Midihub to remap the channels.

Now i want to change the Standard-Piano-Sound (GM) to another Sound by Midihub-Preset.
So i need a command to do this (a command like channel-remapping).
I don´t know, if this means programchange or revoicing.

Example:
“Midi Chanel 1” [CH REMAP] “Midi Chanel 11” and “Soundchange from Piano to Flute”.

Sorry, my english is not the best, but i hope, you understand my plan/problem

( I recall you working on this about a year ago. Uploading your current preset might be useful)

my assumptions so far from what you have written

So say

  • MIDI A IN, (Main keys) Ch.1

  • MIDI B IN, (Keys 1) Ch.1

  • MIDI C IN, (Keys 2) Ch.1

Please amend if assumption wrong

  • “Do you mean fixed Ch1 → Ch11 all the time”

or (as I originally thought)

  • “Ch1 IN → Ch1 OUT and then at some point, switch to Ch1 IN → Ch11 OUT”

I think it’s the 2nd from " i need a command to do this " but I want to check and not confuse things!

Yes:

  • MIDI A IN, (Main keys) Ch.1
  • MIDI B IN, (Keys 1) Ch.1
  • MIDI C IN, (Keys 2) Ch.1

Okay (I’m glad I left out the trickier stuff :smile:)

We didn’t talk about which keys do what, but this example:

wetyya_ChRemap

  • sends MAIN Ch1 → Ch1 (MIDI A OUT which I’m calling MODULE)
  • sends KEYS-1 Ch1 → Ch1
  • sends KEYS-2 Ch1 → Ch11

This Channel Remap Pipe takes any incoming channel then sends everything out on Channel 11.

Try building this and let me know if there’s something else your preset needs

Quite a lot of careful work there: looks like good repeated use a common pattern pipeline adjusted so each line gives the right sound.

Interesting that the Ch Filter in one line filters out Ch1 when the Ch Remap at the end of the line maps to Ch 9 → 16. (And that the Ch Remap in another pipeline is Bypassed by those same mappings. Neat)
