I dowloaded from cycling 74 the run ready image (uses a full [Debian 11]) that max msp RNBO has created for the rasberry pie. I have a 4b. The installer wont work. i updated the kernel firmware as suggested but still doesn’t work.
can anybody suggest the steps i need to take to get it working with the suggested RNBO debian image.

As picture above. I run the rpi-update and it is the latest firmware now. Still doesnt work 
You have to run the entire command with the | sh at the end:
curl https://blokas.io/pisound/install.sh | sh
that was silly of me , first time using rasberry pie.

Yes, Pisound works with RNBO. 
I’m totally ok with max and rnbo (inside the computer) but was confused about “what pisound was”
Even if the website was telling " Pisound is an ultra-low latency high-quality sound card and MIDI interface specially designed for Raspberry Pi pocket computers." which is pretty straightforward to understand
The variety of rPi platforms, images, standard was confusing me.
