@Giedrius I didn’t mean to imply that features like those suggested in this thread are or would one day be irrelevant. I think they are extremely relevant to the point that Midi 2.0 appears to be allowing for them.
I meant to ask: since the Midi 2.0 specifications emphasise total backwards compatibility with Midi 1.0, as well as suggest (I think…I’m definitely no expert) that some aspects of Property Exchange and Profile Configuration could be possible, even if a device was Midi 1.0.
The attraction for me here is that instead of having to build mappings for each device type, they would ‘just appear’ allowing for quicker remapping etc via pipes. Basically just wanted to get your take on Midi 2.0 and it’s possible inclusion with Midihub some time in the future.
