Line out pins on top layer PCB

Hi,
I want to feed the stereo OUT to a builtin amplifier (custom box), but I still want to use the 1/4 audio barrel connector for sending the same signal to a mixer. I tried soldering directly on the pins (top layer of PCB), but I have no signal! Any information, what alternative do I have?

Thanks

Hey, is anything connected to the output port jack? If nothing is inserted, then the signal pins are shorted to ground by the jack construction itself.

Right! Will simply insert an 1/4 to 1/8 adaptor…
Thanks
