Hi, can anyone tell me if the portmidi library is included with PatchboxOS? If so where do i find it? If not please tell me how i download and install it.

Try:
sudo apt install libportmidi-dev
As Patchbox OS is based on Raspberry Pi OS which itself is based on Debian, you can pretty much find every Debian package.
Giedrius, thanks so much. I followed your advice and have now managed to get Pisound sending MIDI data out to an external synth. You are always very helpful and willing to share your knowledge on these forums and I’m sure i speak for everyone when I say that it’s much appreciated.
