Audio in through USB mic, out through headphone jack

Hi there,

Using patchbox without PiSound, is it possible to use a usb mic → modep effect → audio out through headphone? It seems to ‘see’ the audio in no problem, but I can’t test as there are no output in modep, nor I hear anything in the headphone. I read about alsa_in and alsa_out(1) but that is not installed in patchbox but if I install it, I wonder if that won’t break patchbox?

It won’t break the OS if you experiment with those utilities. If the outputs don’t appear in mod-ui, you may try using jack_connect directly to make the connections.

You can also edit Jack’s command line directly by editing /etc/jackdrc, so you can give the -P and -C options a try as described in your link.
