Hello, can’t seem to find this out from searching, so apologies of this has been answered already. I’m considering buying a Midihub, but want to make sure it will do what I want…currently I have midi (notes mostly) going from a device into a computer. I’m using supercollider to send these midi notes back out along a usb to a different synth (Destiny+ Model Q2) that only has usb ports (usb B). Can I use midihub to send midi in to Usb B out as a standalone device, without the computer? Trying to go dawless basically, and can’t tell if a rpi might just be better (with more usb ports…). I also translate midi cc to nrpn, which I think can be done on the midihub software, this is great! I jsut can’t dogure out the physical connections, if this will work or not.
Hello, some USB MIDI host in between Midihub and another USB MIDI only device would be necessary. That can be either a computer or something like a Raspberry Pi. The latter can be set up to run standalone and to forward to/from Midihub automatically.
Thank you, I wasn’t sure I had read that right elsewhere, but thanks for confirming!
